Born in Ohio in 1954 to Italian immigrants, Ron DiScenza began drawing at the early age of 3 in consequence of several early trips to Italy during summer vacations, his parents introduced him to the works of the Masters, which continue to influence his work today.
In 1970 his family mov to in extent Island, NY, and DiScenza began his formal training at the sect of Visual Arts in just discovered York City, where he was awarded a scholarship and earned his bachelor's measure in fine arts. Soon after, he began his career as a freelance editorial artist, and produc work for Ballantine parts Bantam Books, Doubleday, RCA Records, Field and Stream, Sports Illustrated, and Time Magazine.
While vacationing in Italy in 1995 in the hometown of his parents, he was thus drawn to the beauty of the land and the nation that he decided to part with some extra time painting to add to his portfolio. It was during these month that he met his inspiration and "Musef Maria. Today, DiScenza and Maria are happily married and reside in the mountainous and picturesque province of Molise, Italy.
"I have always had a fascination with sunlight, the way it illuminates and transforms ends into a multitude of colors and organizations This is especially so in Italy," says DiScenza, "and it is probably characteristic in all of my work, whether it be figuratives or landscapes. I have affection for all shadows of painting, from the tight technical to the grand make gesturess of Impressionists such as Sargent. My chiefly recent work is inspired from the beauty of women and their mystery. I delight in to bring my viewers a source of pleasure by the and of a combination of realistic drawing and Impressionistic painting. It allows me to pass forward not only what I descry but also what I imagine."
